David was first introduced to these ideas while attending Lasell College just outside of Boston in Newton, Massachusetts. One of the school’s founding contributors, Emma Willard, wrote a book in 1857 entitled “Willard’s Morals: Good Principles for Instilling Wisdom.” David found that the book’s lessons are as meaningful now in the information age as they were during the industrial revolution. The culture of “Connected Learning” at Lasell College encourages discovery and creation within and beyond the classroom, creating a highly inclusive and entrepreneurial environment. Now on the Board of Lasell, David understands the importance of great culture and along with his business colleagues, are fostering the very same culture at Willard Powell today.

Here at Willard Powell we work to visualize and assess impactful social media data analytics for our clients as a way to facilitate talent discussions and develop recruitment strategies. Willard Powell’s supplements this approach with a manual human-to-human research process that is directed from our assessment of talent data. In an effort to keep pace with the market and improve our best in class research process with new innovative web based tools and processes, Willard Powell launched Willard Powell University (WillPowerU) in 2014. WillPowerU is an internal initiative to hire, train, and ultimately place high potential college and graduate students as Research Associates. Students within WillPowerU are encouraged to share and develop their ideas on the future of our business in a more digital world.
